NYX XO

Image
The NYX XO eyeshadow palette was one of the Ulta specials. I spent $15 and got a free six NYX eyeshadow colors. The palette is an array of colors from a nice skin tone brown to a glittery pink to a dark blue-green. If I get a chance later I will upload a photo of it because I couldn't find one anywhere on the internet. There is also a shimmery darker than my skin tone brown, deep purple with a little sparkle, and a deep brown. I'm not exactly sure what NYX was going for when they put this small palette together because the colors are so different. I guess they were going for something you could make a little more everyday wear and a little on the different side. I haven't used any of the shimmers or the crazy shades. I have used the dark brown and skin town to do a neutral eye with the top right color from the Santiago set. The next look I try I might try will be with the light brown shimmer to see what I can accomplish. The colors I have used ha...

Foundation Comparison

I will tell y'all before I begin that I have been a Covergirl user since I first started using makeup about 5 years ago. It was the makeup my mom used so she just had us use it. Since she bought it I didn't complain or have a chance to try new kinds. One day I went into Ulta with my sister and she mentioned some people using NYX. I didn't give any thought to it until about six months ago when I started getting into makeup. I spent a lot of time thinking about making the switch and just never found the time to sit down and do it. Recently I sat down and got into the nitty gritty of trying to find the right shade in the right kind of foundation for me. I took the foundation test on NYX's website and started with the results from that. It matched me to the Total Control Drop Foundation in the shade natural. I didn't want to just assume that natural was the right shade for me so I did some looking. I was also a little off put at the price because I thought foureen doll...

The First Step of the Journey

Image
T his will not be your normal beauty blog. I am just a beginner with makeup and am learning as I go. Don't expect any of these looks or ideas to be stellar and wonderfully done, but I will try my best. If anyone has any advice or anything related to that I would appreciate it. Any feedback is welcome whether it be positive or negative. I will tell you now I am mainly a NYX user but I am open to other good companies as long as they are cheap. I shop at many places like ULTA, online, and places like TJ Maxx to find good deals on good makeup. Sometimes I may even post some of the cool finds I get at stores. I do watch some Youtubers like Laura Lee to help me with my makeup. I hope that despite my crappy makeup that maybe I can be helpful or inspiration to others. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog post.
